Event Caters to Food, Beverage, Craft Beer, and Hospitality-Related Business OwnersECDI Spotlight — By Douglas Craven on July 25, 2013 at 9:30 am
In 1984, Jim Koch founded The Boston Beer Company because he believed that consumers were ready for a full-bodied, American-rooted beer. With a family recipe dating back to the 1860s as his foundation, Koch worked tirelessly perfecting that robust flavor that makes Samuel Adams famous. Believing that America was ready for a change in a market saturated with “lite” beer options, Koch began to promote his beer as an alternative to the options available. The rest is history. According to the Brewers Association 2012 sales report, the Boston Beer Company is regarded as the number one craft brewing company and the fifth overall brewing company in the United States. Like our clients at ECDI, Koch was once a struggling entrepreneur with a dream.
Five years ago, Koch established a program which aims to strengthen and grow food, beverage and hospitality businesses. Brewing The American Dream Speed Coaching Event has served countless businesses throughout the country. Next month, ECDI will partner with Accion to host this exciting event in Columbus!
On August 5th, Brewing the American Dream will feature a panel of over 20 local business experts, including top restaurateurs in Columbus, that can provide help in topics ranging from merchandising and sales, pricing, marketing, social media, websites, e-commerce, and more.
One of our goals at ECDI is to help build successful businesses that strengthen our community. Because of our partners, we are able to provide necessary tools for small businesses to grow and be sustainable.
“Columbus Speed Coach is a unique opportunity,” said Steve Fireman, President and General Counsel, ECDI. “Businesses will take home expert business specific advice as opposed to classroom learning. Allowing them to enhance their business immediately.”
Mark your calendars for the can’t-miss event of the summer brought to you by Samuel Adams, Accion and Economic & Community Development Institute. On August 5th, 2013, the Brewing The American Dream Speed Coaching Event will take place on ECDI’s main campus, located at 1655 Old Leonard Ave., Columbus, Ohio, 43219, at 6 pm.
